BHMAC Acting Assistant Director for Operations Ivan Dunđer, attends the The 27th International Meeting of Mine Action National Directors and United Nations Advisers, which is held in Geneva in the period April 29-May 1. This year’s theme of the meeting is entitled “Protecting lives. Building Peace”, aims to bring together representatives of all agencies and organizations from countries affected by the problem of residual mines and unexploded ordnance, in order to discuss priority issues in this area, as well as upcoming challenges and possible solutions.

The meeting is traditionally organized by UNMAS, in cooperation with the Geneva Center for Humanitarian Action, with the support of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As part of the meeting, it is planned to hold a series of plenary sessions on the topic of mine action in terms of digitization, capacity building, humanitarian demining as a prerequisite for the development of society and peace, innovations in the process of mine action, as well as the exchange of experiences and opportunities for joint action in the field of mine and explosive devices elimination.
