The national competition “Be aware of mines” was held in Pale, in which the winning teams from previously held regional competitions participated. A total of eight school teams participated in the competition, from Zvornik, Banja Luka, Gacko, Kozarska Dubica, Vukosavlje; Mrkonjić Grad, Istočne Ilidže and Bijeljina.

The competition is a continuation of the activities in scope of Mine Action Week, in order to expand knowledge about this still present danger.

Special attention must be paid to the education of children. As time goes on, this topic is less and less communicated. Parents talk less about it, and then the children know very little about this still present danger.

The best teams that won the first three places, were awarded with valuable prizes, diplomas, medals and trophies, and all competitors received school backpacks.
